Description

Director of Sales, Marketing, & Events

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa | With sweeping views at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa offers a luxurious year-round escape in Colorado's renowned Vail Valley. Our ski-in/ski-out location in the heart of Beaver Creek Village is adjacent to the ski school and provides unparalleled access to skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and other winter adventures. During the summer months, guests enjoy fly fishing, river rafting, scenic hiking trails, and a wide range of outdoor activities just steps from our doorstep.

Adding to this world-class setting, the hotel recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of its guest rooms, bringing a fresh, modern elegance to the Park Hyatt luxury experience. This investment has created an exciting opportunity to reintroduce Park Hyatt Beaver Creek to the market and further elevate its position as one of Colorado's premier luxury mountain destinations.

The Director of Sales, Marketing, & Events will play a critical role in this next chapter, leading the sales and marketing strategy that showcases the refreshed guest experience, attracts new group and leisure business, and strengthens the resort's competitive position within the luxury travel market. Through innovative campaigns, strategic partnerships, and targeted business development efforts, this leader will maximize the impact of the renovation while driving long-term revenue growth and market share.

At Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, we seek colleagues who deliver unmatched service and create memorable experiences through effortless luxury service, genuine care, and meaningful connections. We care for people so they can be their best.

The Director of Sales, Marketing, & Events provides strategic leadership and direct oversight of the hotel's Sales, Marketing, and Events operations. This role is responsible for the department's budget and P&L performance, revenue forecasting, advertising and marketing initiatives, business planning, and the overall effectiveness of a high-performing team of sales and event professionals. Reporting directly to the General Manager, with oversight from the Regional Vice President of Sales and Events, this leader plays a vital role in driving the hotel's commercial success.

In addition to leading sales, marketing, and event strategies, this position serves as a trusted partner to ownership by providing clear, data-driven insights into the hotel's performance. The Director will prepare and deliver presentations for ownership meetings and calls, including revenue forecasts, market trends, strategic initiatives, renovation impacts, and business performance updates. This role requires the ability to communicate with clarity, confidence, and strategic vision while maintaining strong alignment between ownership objectives and property goals.

The Director will also lead efforts to position the hotel's newly renovated guest rooms at the forefront of all sales and marketing strategies. By developing compelling campaigns, cultivating strategic partnerships, and leveraging the enhanced guest experience in business development efforts, this leader will help reinforce Park Hyatt Beaver Creek's reputation as a premier destination for both group and leisure travelers.

Equally important, the Director of Sales, Marketing, & Events is responsible for recruiting, developing, and coaching sales and event leaders, interns, and administrative colleagues. This individual will maintain excellence in contracting, quoting, retention, reactivation, and acquisition processes while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture that maximizes revenue and engagement.

Location & Travel

This position may be based anywhere within Colorado, with regular travel to Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa required to support business needs, leadership engagement, ownership relations, and property initiatives. For candidates based outside of the Vail Valley, an on-site presence is expected at least monthly, with additional travel as needed to support key business priorities, ownership meetings, team engagement, and hotel initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $215,000. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible for incentive compensation.

While the role may be based anywhere in Colorado, colleagues who choose to relocate to and establish their primary residence within the Vail Valley may be eligible for a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA), subject to applicable program guidelines and eligibility requirements.

As a member of the property's Leadership Committee, the Director of Sales, Marketing, & Events is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate Leadership. Successful leaders at Hyatt lead by example and model the organization's values and purpose. Hyatt provides an innovative environment where colleagues can develop themselves and others while building trust, engagement, and impactful results for all stakeholders.

If you would like to participate in a caring, award-winning environment during a time of exciting transformation, this opportunity is for you.

This is a full-time opportunity that offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, retirement benefits, complimentary and discounted hotel stays, and much more.
